"John Farrenberg of West & Peel's Campbell Minstrels". Middle initial S. from page 107 of Burnt Cork and Tambourines: A Source Book of Negro Ministrelsy (William L. Stout) (assuming this member of Putnam, Wright & Masters is the same person. It is true that Farrenberg helped form another group in the same year 1859, so it might not be the same! Alto J.E. Farrenberg, on page 102, may have been a female relative- or a male relative who sang in a high voice...)
