Op.12 was published by Chicago Music 2 years before it was published by Arthur Schmidt- part of this edition is at LOC. - Schissel
Clara M. Edwards is probably not Clara Edwards the composer (1880s-1974) unless this was an early-birth-years present for her via her parents, which is of course possible too... (in fact, dedicating a Cradle Song to a 3 or so-year-old child - assuming her birth year was ca.1880 and not 1887 per some other sources - makes sense, come to think. So conceivably- it's hardly proof- the dedicatee could be the composer-to-be...)
