Could Hofkonzertmeister (the job title given) also describe the pianist Karl Wendling (1857-1918)? Unfortunately the work was at least published at a time when both pianist and violinist were alive so that there is some ambiguity which of them is the dedicatee... (ah. In 1903 in a journal "Blätter für Haus- und Kirchenmusik" - "Hofkonzertmeister Carl Wendling spielte an derselben Stelle die Solo-Violine in der Hafner-Serenade von Mozart künstlerisch vollendet. "- that is, the violinist Carl Wendling is referred to...)
