Biography
Juan Andrés Granada Ríos (born 8 November 2008) is a Colombian pianist, performer, music engraver, and editor. He is currently pursuing his musical studies on scholarship at the Instituto de Bellas Artes of the Universidad del Quindío, where he continues his training as a pianist and musician.
His work is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of classical repertoire through modern music engraving and editorial reconstruction of historical sources. His editions seek to make lesser-known works accessible to performers, students, and researchers while remaining faithful to the original manuscripts.
As a performer, Juan Andrés Granada Ríos has been recognized in Colombian piano competitions. He was awarded First Prize in the Johann Sebastian Bach Piano Competition on two occasions, first in 2022 and again in 2026, becoming a two-time winner of the competition.
In addition to his concert activity, he is interested in the recovery of neglected repertoire and the preparation of practical performing editions based on autograph manuscripts and historical sources.
