"The Secret Zoo" is a collection of 16 piano solos of increasing difficulty (elementary to early intermediate) designed to engage the imagination of young or young-at-heart pianists by introducing them to uncommon animals, such as the capybara or the axolotl. The collection ranges from jolly, spirited works to those with a more mysterious or eerie character. Specific technical challenges are addressed in each piece. Accompanying each title are the animal's illustration, native habitat, and scientific name.
