Classicsonline.com claims 1850 for the date of completion of the symphony, but Taylor's probably more reliable Rubinstein: A Life in Music gives "completed by the end of 1849". (Oddly, his own worklist gives "1850" and "dedicated to Julius Stern"; this could use fixing.)

Published by C.F. Kahnt of Leipzig in 1859 (Robinson gives 1858 for full score publication), republished by Höflich in Munich in 2006.
