This file is part of the Merton-Ourtext Project. The metronome markings (described as original on the Merton score) seem to match those in the Breitkopf parts (so yes indeed, original to the late-1820s edition.) (The Steiner edition lacks metronome marks because the metronome, patented in 1815, was probably not in wide enough distribution in 1816...)
