Extra Information | Piano duet arrangement by Gustave Samazeuilh (1877-1967) published by Hamelle in 1906 or 1907 (see Bibliographie de la France, 1907, p.9.). The first movement is in D minor with a D major introduction, ending in D major (rather like d'Indy's first string quartet except that the latter's first movement further ends in D minor.) (Possibly premiered by the Ysaÿe Quartet but not I think dedicated to them-- instead dedicated to Léon Reynier, see BNF data - ES). |
