Raabe & Plothow operated in Berlin from 1880, having bought Friedrich Luckhardt's music publishing business, (originally in Kassel) in 1879. It published vigorously (700 items in 20 years) covering many works by Carl Reinecke, Wilhelm Taubert, Jules de Swert (cello), Wilhelm Fitzenhagen (cello), Fabian Rehfeld (violin), Max Eichhorn (violin), Siegfried Ochs (vocal), Max Stange (vocal), Albert Levinsohn (vocal), and Hermann Voigt (vocal).
Raabe & Plothow's plate numbers were issued in a regular chronological fashion. Plate numbers are in the format of R. #### P. or simply ####. Dates in italics are estimated.
