Extra Information	This piece is actually diatonic. However, the scale is modal. It has 9 tones: C, C#, D#, E, F, G, G#, A, B. The sequence is half/whole/half, repeated 3 times to make an octave. This odd combination is actually a Mode of Limited Transposition. See Messiaen for more about this. It results in some very strange harmonies. It can be used tonally or atonally.
