The 3rd Piano Sonata is a modern-classical composition, but not really modern (i.e. neo-classical). It consists of three movements. The 1st movement is moderately fast, resolute and in sonata-form, the 2nd movement is a kind of slow Trauermarsch based on one theme, the 3rd and final movement is moderately fast, joyful and singing, and in sonata-form with two short themes (altough in the development section a third theme is brought in).
