Night at the theater was composed in the first, shorter, version, on the night between 29 and 30 April 2013, at the Valle theater in Rome, as a composition competing in the contest "compositori in clausura" organized by Giovanni Sollima and his "Cento celli". The composer was selected with 7 others throughout Italy. Subsequently was revisited several times by the author, and this is the version for string quartet.
