This sheet music was created with academic and non-profit purposes only, as an orchestration exercise of Colombian cumbia in the Bassoon. The publication of this arrangement has an objective to contribute to the scarse availability of traditional colombian music for the bassoon players, as this is an instrument relatively recent in Colombian bands, orchestras and college music programs. The percussion section includes conga drums ( it can be reeplaced if not available with a djembe or hand drum with low tuning); colombian maraca/ shaker that can be reeplaced by 4 quarter note beats for each bar on a cymbal like this : one closed/muted , one open, one closed/muted , and one open ; and colombian tambora ( that can be reeplaced with the ring and head of a floor tom).
