This Guayaquil-based music publisher, printing press, bookstore, and office supply store originated in 1876 and was founded by Pedro Janer (19th-20th centuries) and his son Manuel Janer (20th-20th centuries). The bookstore sold numerous office supplies, directors' books, and sheet music published by them and other companies (I own a Schirmer edition of Czerny's Etudes Op. 802 with their imprint). Later, it passed into the hands of Víctor Manuel Janer, a relative of the founders, around the 1930s. Currently, the business is called "Librería Española" and is well-known throughout Ecuador, even though it no longer publishes sheet music. More information at Columna sin rumbo (Spanish)
