| Extra Information | A wonderful little mock Victorian ballad (it works as a serious one too!) with imitation cello obligato. The imitation is meant to satirise a wealthy lady cellist and the follies at her amicable attempts to play the cello, filled with missed cues and out-of-time playing. Quite funny song, and in my opinion, there is no confusion why it stayed on the Reynolds & Co catalogue for many years after its initial publication. |
