Extra Information	The subtitle "Irish elegy" seems to have been dropped by publication: quoting Parlett at the linked page - "This piece, for cor anglais, harp and string quartet, was originally entitled Irish Elegy, and it is likely that its final title—In Memoriam (1916)—was only applied when it came to be published in 1935."

(1916) is not the composition date but part of the title*. Bax also composed a different (orchestral) work with the title "In memoriam" in 1916 (Parlett 179 and see extended page on the two In Memoriam (1916) works at arnoldbax.com).
