The arrangement on this page seems to be after that of Thomas Helmore, who arranged all the music in his joint publication with Neale, 'Carols for Christmas-Tide' (1853) where Neale's text for this carol first appeared. The arrangement uploaded here is clearly not exactly as it appeared originally in that publication, with Helmore's mis-transcribed interpolated repeated note for Neale's words "News! news!", "joy! joy!" etc.
