Each of these violin duets depicts a different way of moving, an emotion, and an atmosphere. They are not composed together but as separate pieces in a collection, much like paintings in a home or gallery. Musicians who play them are encouraged to use imagination and storytelling and to employ various bow strokes to give them variety of tone color and character. These "Colorful Airs for Two Violins" are dedicated to my long time friend and fellow violinist Bernice Greenstein.
