Anna Amalia von Preussen (Anna Amalia of Prussia) was the youngest sister of King Frederic II (the Great) of Prussia (1712-86, r.1740-86). She was one of 14 children of King Frederic William I (the Soldier King) of Prussia (1688-1740, r.1713-1740). Her uncle was King George I of England.
She should not be confused with her niece Anna Amalia (1739—1807) Anna Amalia von Sachsen-Weimar (Anna Amalia of Saxe-Weimar, Anna Amalia von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel)(1739-1807).
