He was known as a member of Detroit String Quartet, writing works specifically for them, and one of the founding members of Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He came to USA in 1910 after he got 2 prizes in Royal Conservatory in Liège. Have at least 3 awarded students (Gabriel Sow, Joseph Lazarowsky, Legrand Mercura). Born in Liège, Belgium, died in Detroit, USA.
