  • The title page says "Trois Sonates et Trois Préludes Pour le Pianoforte avec accompagnement de Flûte, Violon et Violoncelle".
  • Sonata 2 in D Major, C. 133 and The Three Preludes (C. 135-137) are for piano solo.
  • There is no separate flute part, and the violin part doesn't indicate flute as an alternative. The violin part has many notes below middle C, as well as double and triple stops.
  • The violin part says "Sonata II tacet", which could mean that the flute is meant to play that from a separate part, but then the basso part also says "Sonata II tacet", which seems to imply that the second sonata may be for piano solo.
  • Grove lists these as a set, but says "no.2 for pf, also as op.61." This would seem to confirm that only Sonatas I and III are trios, and Sonata II is a solo piano work.
