| Extra Information | Alternative Keyboard part if Marimba not available. Written in the New Year of 2024 mainly because I like the sound of the Cor Anglais. The Marimba is added as contrast in sound. I apologise to the strings for the repetitive Rumba section !). If a Marimba is not available, please use the other version where the part can be played on a piano or a keyboard (with Marimba sound if required). The concertino is short (about 12.5 mins) and is basically light classical in style. It is in a single movement with several sections. The “Swans on a River” section theme was written against a poem (Swan Creek by Williston Fish). (I have a slight synaesthesia between words and music). |
