Francis Dorel was the pseudonym of Frederick Alfred Coote, born in Waltham Green, Middlesex and was according to the UK Census of 1911 a 'Music Salesman'. By the late 1930's he was employed as a clerk in the motor trade at Bexhill, East Sussex where he subsequently died in 1958.
