Extra Information	The fifth voice (la quinta parte) should be sung rather than played.

Frescobaldi gives an eight note theme and leaves it to the performer to see where it will fit. Two entries lead to consecutive unisons, which lead into the heart of the creative process. They are certainly not accidental, appearing in successive entries at the same point in the theme. It robs the work to omit the entries, so one can accept the consecutives, or modify the text as indicated, or devise a more creative solution. Another option is to shorten the relevant notes of the theme by one crotchet.
There is no text given, and one RISM entry classifies it as keyboard only, while another RISM entry lists it as a vocal 4-voice capriccio. Neither gives a language. Tagged by the title, i.e. 1 voice plus keyboard.
